Juniper acquires Amana Living

Juniper will acquire Wollaston Court Retirement Village from Amana Living, marking a strategic move to ensure the availability of affordable rental housing for senior citizens in Albany, Western Australia. The acquisition involves 22 residential units providing a blend of one- and two-bedroom accommodations. Although the financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, the deal underscores Juniper's commitment to accommodate older Australians regardless of their financial circumstances.

Juniper, a not-for-profit organization, already maintains a significant presence in Albany through its Korumup Residential Aged Care Home, Boronia Court Retirement Living, and the Juniper Albany Community Centre. The acquisition will see Juniper formally take over management of Wollaston Court by April 30. Continuity in service is expected, with Kerryn Proctor of Juniper Boronia Court and Community Centre assuming responsibilities as the village coordinator, maintaining the existing arrangement of one day a week.

Juniper's CEO, Russell Bricknell, highlighted the significance of providing affordable retirement options that keep seniors close to their local communities. He stressed the importance of continuity and familiarity for older residents. Stephanie Buckland, CEO of Amana Living, expressed her confidence in Juniper's capability to enhance the quality of life for residents at Wollaston Court, building on Amana Living’s legacy in the region.
