United Flow Technologies acquires CS3 Water Works

United Flow Technologies (UFT), headquartered in Irving, has acquired CS3 Water Works and Principle Environmental, expanding its footprint in the Southeast's water and wastewater sector. UFT, which provides solutions to municipal and industrial customers, aims to strengthen its regional expertise and enhance its service offerings across key Southeastern markets with these acquisitions. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CS3 Water Works, based in Ocala, Florida, offers valves and related solutions to municipalities and utilities, establishing a strong market presence in Florida. This acquisition elevates UFT's capacity in valve and flow control, further consolidating its influence in a rapidly growing region. UFT CEO Matt Hart highlighted CS3's technical proficiency and customer rapport as pivotal to enhancing UFT’s service caliber in the area. Brian Drexel, president of CS3, noted that the merger with UFT will enhance resource availability and service delivery to their existing customer base.

Principle Environmental, operating out of Atlanta, delivers process equipment solutions in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle. The alliance broadens UFT's product offerings and industry reach, bolstering its services to both municipal and industrial clients in the Southeast. Hart emphasized the addition of scale and technical depth through Principle Environmental's wide-ranging process equipment solutions. Bob Sender, co-president of Principle Environmental, expressed that this partnership with UFT would facilitate resource access and collaboration while maintaining local focus.

These acquisitions are part of UFT’s broader strategy to fortify its technical capabilities and expand its solution portfolio. Having been acquired by Berkshire Partners in December, the company benefits from a strong financial backing and a strategic direction oriented towards long-term infrastructure support. UFT's growth trajectory, since its founding as a platform investment by H.I.G. Capital in 2021, reflects a concerted effort to consolidate its position as a leader in water and wastewater solutions.
