Trane Technologies acquires LiquidStack

Trane Technologies has finalized the acquisition of LiquidStack, a company specializing in liquid cooling technology, consolidating its position in the thermal management solutions industry. The acquisition, initially announced last month, underscores Trane's commitment to enhancing its capabilities in sustainable cooling solutions for critical operations, pivotal for the data center sector.

Though financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, the acquisition represents a strategic move following Trane Technologies' prior minority investment in LiquidStack last year. Trane will integrate LiquidStack’s advanced high-density liquid, direct-to-chip, and immersion cooling technologies into its operations, aiming to fortify its offerings in the thermal management space. LiquidStack’s manufacturing, engineering, and R&D operations in Carrollton, Texas, and Hong Kong will now be part of the commercial HVAC arm of Trane Technologies Americas.

The deal reflects Trane Technologies' strategy to leverage its comprehensive thermal management expertise alongside LiquidStack's innovative cooling solutions to deliver a broader suite of adaptable and efficient thermal management solutions.
