Keyloop acquires Motortech.ai
Keyloop has announced its agreement to acquire Motortech.ai, an AI technology developer focused on enhancing automotive retail operations. The acquisition, pending regulatory approval, aims to integrate Motortech.ai's advanced artificial intelligence solutions into Keyloop's existing Fusion ARP platform. This move is expected to boost operational efficiency for automotive dealers and enhance customer engagement capabilities.
Motortech.ai's flagship AI customer agent, known as AIME, will be incorporated into Keyloop's suite of solutions, including the Vehicle Hub inventory management module, the Acquisition Hub website solution, and the Sales Hub. The integration will allow AIME to function as a contact center solution, processing and managing leads via modern communication channels such as social media, WhatsApp, SMS, and email. Tom Kilroy, CEO of Keyloop, indicated that the acquisition will enable the company to leverage Motortech.ai's established technology, augmenting customer interaction within the dealer network.
Gerard Thatcher, CEO and founder of Motortech.ai, commented on the strategic benefit, stating that the union of Motortech.ai's conversational AI capabilities with Keyloop’s data and enterprise solutions would enable faster deployment of comprehensive conversational interfaces for dealerships and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This synergy is intended to create more effective customer interactions and improved operational outcomes for automotive retailers.
The acquisition comes at a time of heightened competition in automotive technology, as companies strive to leverage AI and data analytics to improve customer experience and streamline operations. Keyloop's move highlights the increasing importance of integrating AI tools within the motor trade sector to enhance service efficiency and engagement. Other companies in the sector may face pressure to advance their own technological capabilities to keep pace.
As the deal awaits regulatory clearance, its completion could set a precedent for further consolidations and technology-driven collaborations within the automotive technology landscape. Both companies plan to share insights at the upcoming Car Dealer Live event, indicating the role of such platforms in disseminating new advancements to industry stakeholders.
